Being a teenager in today’s day and age can be extremely stressful. On top of all of the expectations, social media can compound the issue.
We are here to help.
As your child navigates their teenage years, they are going to begin to learn more about themselves and the world around them, including what they are looking for in different friendships and relationships. During this time, friend groups often shift and may cause your teen to experience a lack of self-esteem, which can ultimately lead to a host of other emotional difficulties.
While navigating their social lives, balancing school work and their own needs can start to feel overwhelming. When this happens, it is not uncommon for your teen to develop mood swings, anxiety, or depression. Sometimes when teens are experiencing these feelings, they can engage in risky behaviors such as experimenting with drugs, alcohol, and sex. As a parent, we know this can sound scary and overwhelming, but you are not alone and we have the tools to help.
