Get to Know Associate Therapist Lexi Nass, LMSW!

By: Lexi Nass, LMSW

Hi! My name is Lexi Nass and I’m a Licensed Social Worker and graduate of New York University Silver School of Social Work. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and young professionals who face issues with self-esteem, life transitions, perfectionism, dating and relationships, work-stress and anxiety.

I understand the realistic challenges individuals may experience every day in modern society. While my own personal experiences are not yours, I empathize with you and will work with you to find ways to manage and navigate any obstacles you may be experiencing.

By fostering an environment that is safe, non-judgmental and warm, I hope to enable a collaborative and supportive therapeutic alliance. My approach is compassionate and collaborative; I strongly believe that one of the most important aspects of therapy is building a relationship with my clients. Therapy is not a “one size fits all” model, but rather, an individualized approach that focuses on how to best serve you and your needs. Through this journey, we will work together to find ways to best support you in managing, coping, and healing. Whether you are seeking therapy that is solution-focused, collaborative, or just want a safe place to talk, I am here to listen to you, to support you and empower you to be the best version of yourself.

Navigating different life experiences as a child, an adolescent, or a young professional can be challenging and these experiences don’t come with a manual. Often times, these obstacles can feel overwhelming, stressful, and anxiety provoking. Starting can be hard but reaching out is the best place to start; I am here to support you through it all.

In our work together, we will learn more about each other, allowing the space for you to feel comfortable in session. I feel that the best relationships are those which start with a strong foundation of reciprocity! To kick it off, here are three fun facts about me:

-       I used to dance competitively

-       I lived in Barcelona for 4 months to study abroad

-       I’ve never had a PB & J sandwich

If you are interested in working together, feel free to send me an email to Lexi@UpsiderTherapy.com or call at (646) 494-4878. I can’t wait to work with you!
